Funded by Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung – Office in Greece, the group conducted research on the spread of far-right ideas in Greek society since the economic crisis that hit the country in 2010 and gave rise to the infamous Golden Dawn neo-Nazi party. The group investigated the long-term impact of ideas of attitudes and stances characteristic of the far-right and the normalization of the far-right as a mentality.
The results of this research were published in an edited volume under the title “Mainstreaming the Far Right in Greece: Gender, Media, Armed Forces and the Church” in November 2021. An English translation of the volume will be published in autumn 2022.
